Privacy Policy

Travesía al inglés (“the app”, “we”) is a Spanish→English learning app, available on Android and on the web. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can control it.
Information We Collect
By default (anonymous use):when you first open the app, we create an anonymous account identified by a randomly generated token stored on your device. This account tracks which lessons you’ve completed and your language preference. No name, email, or other personal information is collected at this stage.
If you choose to sign in with Google (optional): we receive your email address and display name from Google, via Firebase Authentication. This upgrades your anonymous account so your progress can sync across devices. You can use the app fully without ever signing in.
Advertising data:the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers, approximate location, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. Where required (for users in the EEA/UK), we ask for your consent to ad personalization before any ad is requested, via Google’s consent management tool. You can change your choice at any time from the app’s settings, or manage ad personalization at the device level in your Android settings.
How We Use Your Information
- To save and sync your lesson progress
- To let you access your progress across devices, if you sign in
- To serve and measure advertising, per your consent choice
- To operate and maintain the app’s backend service
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for anything beyond running the app and showing ads as described above.
Third-Party Services
The app relies on the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase — authentication (Google Sign-In)
- Google AdMob — advertising
- Hostinger — hosts the app’s backend and database
Each of these services processes data under its own privacy policy, in addition to this one.
Data Storage and Retention
Your progress data is stored on our servers for as long as your account exists. If you stop using the app, anonymous accounts are not actively deleted but are not linked to any identifiable information.
Delete Your Account and Data
In the app:open the Profile tab and tap “Delete My Account.” This immediately and permanently deletes your progress, personal dictionary, and linked Google account (if any) — no waiting period.
Without the app installed: email mukeshbheel001@gmail.com with the subject “data deletion request,” including the email address you signed in with if applicable, and we will delete your data within 30 days.
Your Rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent to ad personalization at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us below.
Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
